Life is Beautiful- a talk on mental health and wellbeing delivered at Institute of Agricultural Technologists
On 12th September 2014, MD & CEO Swarnalatha Iyer addressed a gathering of over 100 people at the Institute of Agricultural Technologists’ Knowledge Enhancement Seminar and Endowment Programme. The talk was targetted at senior citizens- a mix of retired professionals and current employees of IAT, as well as participants from the general public.
The talk, aptly titled “Life is Beautiful”, focussed on mental and emotional well-being of senior ciitzens, and what the elderly need to do for themselves in order to maintain a healthy balance at this stage of life. Presenting her talk in both Kannada and English, Swarnalatha Iyer spoke extensively of the Art of Letting Go…It is but our attitudes and mindset towards other people and life in general, which dictates how happy we are. The secret to leading a contented life is simply to Let Go.
The Bangalore Division of the Institute of Agricultural Technologists regularly conducts workshops and seminars for their employees and general public on various topics from healthcare to financial management to technical enhancement. We were approcahed by memebers of their Managing Committee, following a press coverage of MD & CEO Swarnalatha Iyer’s work (Read article).
